‘’The Grand Canyon’’ collection is inspired by how the Colorado River, which dug a deep channel through layers of rocks five to six million years ago, generated these markers. It does not only depend on the Colorado River's water flow, but flash floods induced by heavy rainfall on the plateau are the most powerful factor for surface cutting. The greater the intensity of flash floods in the case of heavy rain, the dryer the barren highlands. Rainfall washes away throughout the landscape due to the extremely dry and hard surface's low water absorption. These lines have been through many years, and each year they have been baptized by torrential rain. The Grand Canyon's deep canyons, towering spires, and immense grandeur have long been awe-inspiring to humans. According to legend, the canyon holds the genesis of life and will be the last resting place for the spirits. It is one among the world's top 10 geological wonders due to its distinctive landform. The scouring and erosion of the granite wall creates distinctive patterns on the surface. The sun seeps into the canyon via the stone fissures, generating a series of mystical light beams.

In this collection, the colors anemone, maroon, and canary are inspired by the lines and stones of the Grand Canyon. Sunlight streams into the canyon when the sun rises, canary colour were chosen to be included in the color palette.

The choices of my textiles are taffeta polyester, rayon polyester, duchess satin, dupioni silk and organza ruffles which are carefully picked to match along with my spring/summer collection.

For rayon polyester, I picked a fabric that shimmers, reflects, changes and two colours (red and blue) are mixed when light are shined on it like how the sun shines into the canyon and create rays of light with blue sky.

The crimson colour of the organza ruffles represents the narrow channel caused by erosions. Seams are sewn into my clothing to incorporate organza ruffles, which imitate the valleys' curvature. It reflects sky and land in the overlap details I made for my first outfit. The sky is represented by the dragon, while the water is represented by the fish. I merged the elements and created an overlap pattern, similar to how water and wind interact to form the valley.

My outfit's elements are meticulously developed and constructed to retain the importance of the lines, silhouette, and layers.

In conclusion, nature are precious, that they are highly respected by vistors and the Native Americans. The Grand Canyon is made up of severe ecosystems, from the forest above to the desert below, and both native creatures and visitors must adapt to them.
